ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University Director of Athletics Dan Schumacher has announced the promotion of Tim Gotto to Associate Director of Athletics.

Gotto, who joined the Lewis staff in January 2004 as Assistant Director of Athletics, will continue in his role as Compliance Coordinator.

"Tim has done an excellent job in his tenure at Lewis University," Schumacher said. "His elevation to this position within our department is an asset to our continued success."

Gotto came to Lewis from New Mexico Highlands University, where he served as Associate Director of Athletics for Media Relations and Development. He was head wrestling coach, equipment manager and intramurals director at Elmhurst College from 1995-2002.

Gotto holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa (1993) and a master's degree in athletic administration from Loras College (1995). He is pursuing a master's degree in business administration at Lewis.
