Day One Preliminary Results
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Three Flyers earned All-American honorable mentions on the first day of the 2008 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. Senior Adam Brown finished in ninth (9:24.57), freshman Kevin Coates took twelfth (9:30.27) and sophomore Jared Zimmer grabbed the final honorable mention spot at sixteenth (9:36.80) in the men's 1000 freestyle. The Flyers now have 55 Honorable Mention All-Americans in Lewis swimming history. Brown now has four and Zimmer has three All-American honors during their career. Lewis has 15 team points, tying the Flyers with the University of Incarnate Word for seventeenth overall and second among Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schools. The preliminaries of day two begin at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow. |
