BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Alicia Wiese registered an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the 20-pound weight throw to lead the Lewis University track and field teams at Indiana University's Gladstein Invitational. Wiese's toss of 52-2 makes her the first athlete from the Flyer women's team to land on the NCAA provisional list this season. Other highlights for the Lewis women came from Terran Wertz, who won the mile (5:10.24), and Sarah King, who tied the school record in the pole vault (10-6). Adrian Myers led the Flyer men by finishing fifth in the 800 meters (1:54.26). Also posting top-10 finishes were Chance Eiker, eighth in the pole vault (14-7¼); Dave Dobersztyn, ninth in the 60 meters (:06.97) and 10th in the 200 meters (:22.15); and Larry Anzalone, ninth in the 3000 meters (8:51.44). |
