April 27, 2007 NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University track and field athletes won eight events at North Central College's Old Fashioned Meet. The Flyers captured six women's victories and a pair of men's wins. Leading the way for the women's squad was Alicia Wiese, who won the shot put (41-2½) and finished second in the discus and hammer. Also winning for the Lewis women were Michelle Ruff in the 100 meters (:12.82), Christine Kustra in the 200 meters (:27.09), Kelle Lederman in the 400 meters (1:00.70), Becky Herbert in the 3,000 meters (10:49.72) and Millennium Wheeler in the triple jump (35-1). Randy Hinton in the 100 meters (:11.03) and Scott Barnas in the shot put (49-6½) earned a spot on the winner's stand for the Lewis men. |
