Adam Tigert is in his first season as an assistant with the Lewis men's basketball team. Prior to arriving at Lewis, Tigert served on the coaching staff at Oshkosh West High School (Oshkosh, Wis.) for three seasons. The team went 71-3 during that span, claiming back-to-back state titles in 2006 and 2007. Before Oshkosh West, Tigert was an assistant at Ripon College for one season. From 2000 - 2001 Tigert was an assistant coach/operations manager for the Pertemps Birmingham Bullets, a professional team in Birmingham, England. Tigert's coaching career began at Webster University (St. Louis, Mo.). He was an assistant there for one season before moving to be an assistant at Washington University (St. Louis, Mo.) for a season. Tigert was a four-time all-conference selection during his collegiate career. He was a three-year starter for head coach Bill Knapton at Beloit College (Beloit, Wis.) before transferring to Webster for his senior season. Tigert graduated in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in economics and management. At Lewis, Tigert is pursuing a master's degree in organizational leadership. |
