JACKSON, Tenn. - Sophomore Josh Butterfield tied for 41st and was Lewis' top finisher at the Grover Page Classic, played Monday and Tuesday at Jackson Country Club. The Flyers finished 11th among 16 teams. Butterfield (74-80=154) was one of seven Lewis golfers to compete at the tournament. Senior Brian Carlson (78-78=156) tied for 52nd, sophomore Paul Dagys (75-83=158) and sophomore Peter Tanaka (81-77=158) tied for 60th, junior Greg Roderique (82-77=159) tied for 65th; and freshman Logan Watts (79-81=160) tied for 67th among 90 golfers. Lewis (308-312=620) finished four strokes in back of Southern Indiana and three strokes ahead of Morehead State. Central Arkansas (295-289=584) finished first. The tournament was shortened to two rounds to due inclement weather. Lewis returns to action on Thursday at the Fairfield Spring Invitational. |
