High School/Other: Earned four varsity letters ... all-conference as a junior and senior ... helped lead Maine West to the regional title his junior season ... also lettered two years in track and field ... as a senior, finished eighth in the 800 meters and sixth in the 4x800-meter relay in IPTT competition ... also that season, was all-state (sixth place) and sectional champion in the 4x800 relay, and conference champion in the 800 meters ... as a junior, was all-state (eighth place) in the 4x800 relay ... Illinois State Scholar, National Honor Society member and Presidential Scholar Award recipient.
