DEMOTTE, Ind. - Led by junior Jamie Siedlaczek, Lewis golfers occupied the top five spots to earn a decisive team victory at the five-team St. Joseph's College Invitational, Sunday afternoon at Sandy Pines Golf Club. The Flyers' 334 team score came via Siedlaczek's 80, freshman Teresa Sandri's 81, junior Amy Sach's 86 and sophomore Carly Keeler's 87. Sophomore Allison Snyder, competing as an individual, carded an 88 to tie for fifth place overall. Senior Vanessa Nomura came in 10th with a round of 91. Also competing for Lewis were freshman Courtney Everett in 11th (96); freshman Sheila Connolly in 12th (97); freshman Courtney Kellogg and Heather Poppe in a tie for 14th (99). Sophomore Brittany Halpin finished 20th (107). The Flyers top foursome beat out Saint Joseph's (365) and Kentucky Wesleyan (397) for the first-place finish. The Lewis women compete again on Tuesday at the Elmhurst Invitational. |
