NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University junior Jamie Siedlaczek carded a 78 to finish in a two-way tie for first and help Lewis to a first-place team finish, Tuesday afternoon at the North Central Cardinal Classic at Cress Creek Golf Course. Siedlaczek led the Flyers for the second time this season. Her 78 tied Jenny Speckman of Wheaton College for the tournament's top spot among 48 golfers. Junior Amy Sachs shot 84 to come in second for Lewis, finishing tied for seventh overall. Sophomore Allison Snyder finished third Lewis, ninth overall, turning in a season-best 85. Freshman Teresa Sandri tied for 13th (89), and senior Vanessa Nomura tied for 15th (90). Freshmen Heather Poppe (96) and Courtney Everett (97) came in 27th and a tie for 28th, respectively. The Flyers (336) finished first as a team for the third time in five tournaments this fall. Wheaton (345) was second and tournament-host North Central (360) took third among eight teams in competition. The Flyers golf next at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Midwest Shootout on Sept. 30. |
