ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University women's volleyball head coach Lorelee Smith has announced Faith Watson (Mount Morris, Ill./Oregon High School) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Lewis University. Watson, an outside hitter, earned four varsity letters during her high school career. She was a two-time Sauk Valley Telegraph all-area selection and was named all-stateline honorable mention her junior year. She was named all-conference first team her junior and senior seasons and all-conference honorable mention her sophomore year. She led her team in hitting percentage both her junior and senior seasons and helped lead her team to four conference and regional championships. Watson was also an honor roll student all four years. She also brings five years of club experience with Club Fusion, React and Rockford Select. Watson is the second member of Smith's 2008 recruiting class, joining setter Katie Crawford. The 2007 Flyers won their second straight Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship, advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 and finished with the highest national ranking in the program's history. |
