After three weeks of competition, we have really come together as a team. We have experienced what it felt like to be on a winning streak. Our heads were held high, and we felt as if we had accomplished so many things. These matches allowed each of us to work on our individual roles and see the areas where improvement we need. There is still time, and in this time, great strides will be taken.

There is great chemistry on our team. Each member has their own personality and it really makes the team so unique. It has been the best experience I have had at Lewis thus far. Each day at practice, we come ready to work. Strong work ethic is encouraged and shines when we do competitive drills; everyone wants the ball. The drive, heart, and integrity are always key components to our practices. At practice, everyone is always doing something. When the middles are working on arm swings, the liberos do not just sit around. We will be on the next court working on digging line or cross court. There is not one individual who gets the most attention at practice. The team is looked at as whole, not a group of individuals wanting the spotlight to be on themselves.

I am truly looking forward to see what the future has in store for us. We will be facing great competition and we will really be challenged. I know all of our hard work will show through at tight, exhausting matches. We have worked so hard and will continue to do so. Everyone is encouraging; there is not one person who will let someone give up. Our team really has something. There is never a day I dread going to practice. I look forward to going to practice each day.
